My last day in Lisbon was gentler the kind of day where you soak things in instead of racing through them.
I started in Belém, wandering along the river and stopping at Pastéis de Belém for the original custard tarts. Warm, flaky, creamy…exactly as good as everyone says they are.

From there, I headed at MAAT, Lisbon’s Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology. Even if you don’t go inside, the building itself is stunning, especially by the water. You can just imagine when the weather starts to get warm everyone flocking down by the water to enjoy the view and a couple of Pastel de Nata!

I finished the trip at LX Factory, one of my favourite spots of the trip. Old industrial buildings turned into creative spaces, filled with street art, independent shops and cafés you want to sit in longer than planned.

I had lunch at Merendinha do Arco a small, traditional tasca tucked away in Lisbon that feels wonderfully authentic and unpretentious. Known for its generous portions and classic Portuguese dishes, it’s the kind of place where locals gather for hearty, home-style cooking at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is simple and lively, often buzzing with conversation and the focus is firmly on the food rather than the frills. If you’re looking for a genuine taste of Lisbon away from the more touristy spots, Merendinha do Arco is a great choice.

Happy travels xoxo
